Same Inside EP

This is the artwork for my debut EP 'Same Inside'. The songs are all on the subject of my mothers suicide, the title track being 'Same Inside' which is me expressing how I feel very similar to my mother and that in a way we were the same inside. The album artwork shows me and her spliced together to represent our similarities.

I would like to talk to people about their mental health issues and get to a deep level of where and issue may lie and write a song with people and create artwork and all the things that go along with releasing music.

This may lead to me becoming a councillor in a way so i will have to be weary about who i talk to and how they respond. I must be sensitive!

writing producing and completing this EP led to a feeling of catharsis and i would like to see if i can facilitate this feeling in other people suffering from similar things.

Album Artwork

Album artwork is aiming to visually represent the music and sometimes gives a glimmer of the artist themselves. I think they are very special pieces of design as they can give you some  indication of the mood and feeling of the music inside, possibly predisposing you to how the music is supposed to sound and therefore affecting how you listen to it and interpret it!

Can this idea of 'giving an indication of whats inside' be re purposed and used to give an indication of what is inside someones mind?

I have tried to choose art that looks as if it could have some kind of connection to mental health...

This image could represent a chaotic mind.

This image looks like a glance into the mind and maybe a separation between mind and body.
